[how-to] Save a file with a colon in the filename? (for Windows, Mac etc)

A colon is an invalid character for a Windows and Mac file name. You won't be able to allow ':' in the file name.


What if you would still want to use colon in your filename?

There are two alternatives:

1. Use an alternative character that looks like the regular colon ie  . 

This is actually a  unicode character: U+A789) .

2. Save your file in Google Drive.

At the moment, it seems that Google Drive allows a wider variety of character sets for file names as shown below. 



But, bear in mind that when you download the file to your computer, the file name may be automatically renamed by the operating system as shown below.
